Today Drew is 11 months old. I can't believe how fast these past 11 months have gone by. It seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. He is getting to be such a big boy! His new haircut and the 2 top teeth make him look so big. Of course, I have never dressed him like a baby either, so his plaid shirt today made him look like a big boy too! He is now pointing at everything. We ask him where the fan or light is and he looks up and points. I tell him to "say Mama" and he says Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma... so cute! He is still struggling making the transition to solid foods. He would much prefer I feed him cereal and baby food with a spoon. He does well feeding himself but looses interest too fast and doesn't eat all of it. We tried broccoli and grapes this week and unbelievably he likes them both! Slowly but surely we are getting there. One month from today we will be celebrating his birthday! Our families will be in town and I think we will be heading to the pumpkin patch that day and having a mini celebration that afternoon. Then on the 27th his party at our house!

First Hair Cut
Drew got his first official hair cut on Saturday. I have trimmed his hair about 3 times since he was born, the first time when he was only 3 months old! We had 3 month pictures and it was growing over his ears and I just couldn't leave it! Now that it is all grown in and his birthday is just around the corner, I was afraid to touch it this time. I think it will be worth taking him someplace to have it cut, just so he can watch the movie in front of him and have new things to look at. I think keeping him entertained at home while I did it might be tough. He did a good job!!

Splish Splash!
I was taking a bath!... in mommy's tub last night. We just recently got the very large duck that you can see in the tub and thought we would go in the big tub to play with him. We also had some left over bubbles from earlier in the day, so we decided to play with those too. The bubbles I buy at Gymboree last forever. I went into the playroom this morning and there were still bubbles around from yesterday!
We have had a busy week. We got black tights and a long sleeved shirt that Drew needs for under his Halloween costume. We also have been working on getting his birthday invitations done and they should be ready this afternoon-I think they turned out really cute!

Yo Baby!
Yo! It has been awhile since I have posted, I know...Here is a pic of Drew in the tub this week. Getting him washed isn't as easy anymore -he refuses to lay down. We try to occupy him with lots of different toys, some nights are easier than others. I submitted this photo to the YoBaby yogurt cover baby contest. For those of you who wish to enter go to http://www.yobabyyogurt.com/CoverBaby/ and enter by the end of the month. Do I think I have the cutest baby, who should most definitely win...well of course I do. But you can enter too, your baby might get 2nd place! ha ha!
Here is Drew at Hailey's 1st birthday party this weekend. Hailey is a friend from Gymboree. He enjoyed a little cupcake, with purple frosting as you can see!
We had our Gymboree friends over for play group at our house today. I got Drew down to nap about 2:00 and he is STILL sleeping, and it is 4:30! My kid never naps this long!!!! He had a little fever earlier. I am not sure if it is beacuse of teething or not. He was not acting like himself earlier and would scream with tears when I would put him down for a second. Normally I can't get him to sit in my lap, except for bottle time. He is waking...2 1/2 hours wow!

Relaxing Weekend
Playing at Sam's birthday party.
Are you done in there yet mommy???
We have decided to turn our front living room into a playroom for Drew. I didn't realize that we would need one so soon. I am happy to give up that front room though, it really is a waste of space for us. But I wasn't planning on having to decorate a playroom so soon! I have some ideas already though, thanks to friends who have cute playrooms already! (I have to steal their creative ideas, because I don't have any of my own!) We have already sold the love seat and chair that are in there, and we are going to keep the couch. We are also going to gate it off so Drew can stay IN and Guinness can stay OUT and we don't have to worry about toys being left on the floor and ending up in the dogs' mouth! Not ideal to have the playroom be the room that everyone sees when they first walk in our house, but it will have to work while we are in this house.
Trying to get daddy's breakfast.
Watching the rain out the front door.

Who Does Drew Look Like?
Well according to this, he looks equally like both of us! I definitely think Drew looked MUCH more like Will when he was first born.
But I do think he is looking more and more like his mama as he gets older!

Hello September
We had a fun long weekend with daddy home and saying goodbye to summer. Hopefully the trend of our cooler weather will continue. We are ready for fall and all the fun events this October will bring for our family. We went to Stonebriar Mall on Saturday to order some pictures of Drew and to get his Halloween costume. I had a free 8x10 coupon to use at the Picture People, so we decided to go there just for fun last week. I thought I would get the free sheet and then maybe, possibily, order another sheet or two.....But...of course I can't leave behind all the cute pictures of my baby, so I ended up spending more money than I had planned!! (surprise, surprise if you ask Will!). I don't really like "studio" type pictures/places and ever since Drew was born, we have either had someone come to our house or we have had someone take his pictures (newborn, 3, 6, 9 month) but I had never taken him to a studio type place. Anyway-not sure we will go again but we got some cute pics. We also had a free carousel token from when the VanEpps family was here, so Drew and I decided to use it. He seemed to like sitting on the horse and looking for Will every time we went around. We did have shoes for him, but those darn crocs just don't stay on his feet, so after he kept kicking them off while in the stroller, we just decided to white trash it with no shoes! We stopped by Steve and Rachael's new house in Southlake and had dinner with them on Sunday. We had to keep Drew away from all of Uncle Steve's dead animals that haven't made it on his "boy's room" walls yet. The boys do have a great new room to watch football in this year! Their new house is very nice and spacious!
Today we went over the Paul's house to swim and cookout for dinner. Drew had fun hanging out with the older kids and swimming in the pool. Their dog Bella will be coming to stay with us at the end of this month while they enjoy a family vacation to the Bahamas. It is the least we can do seeing as Jen used to come let Guinness out every day when we first got her. Guinness is also very excited to have a playmate!!!!
