34 Weeks & House Update

We had our 34 week OB appt. today and all is well. Camden's heartbeat was good and my belly measured 34 cm, right on target.
We asked Drew if he wanted to show the doc his belly but he was too interested in a book he was reading. My doc asked if there was a baby in his belly but he really wasn't even paying attention.
My doc had to check down there for something else today but he said that he could see that I wasn't dilated. I was glad to hear that. I have had a fear of having Camden early this whole pregnancy. My friend Marsha has felt the same about her baby boy (she is a month ahead of me) and she has made it past 38 weeks, so hopefully I will too. Maybe it is because Drew was early that I am afraid she will be too, and with all that is going on in our lives right now it would be even more stressful.

We headed up to the house bright and early today for our friend Drew (a friend of good friends) to install all the speakers in our dining room, back patio, master bedroom and master bath. He had already painted them with paint we gave him last week and today he got almost everything done. He has to come back because Will's ginormous TV would not fit in the back of his suburban! Tomorrow the guys will mount the TV and get all the volume control switches installed. Our blinds were installed today as well and they look great. Unfortunately our shutters will not be in for about 8 more weeks, eeeeeeek! We have those temporary paper blinds up now, yes yes, very pretty!
Tomorrow bedroom furniture gets delivered and Verizon comes to hook up all the Fios that we need. Will is at the house painting Drew's bedroom as we speak.
Busy, busy around here! Luckily Uncle Steve and Auntie Rachael are taking Drew for the day on Saturday while the movers are here and then Sunday I get to relax a little with the girls at Camden's shower :)

Lots Going On!

Where should I start?...well I guess I will start off by saying that we closed on our house today!!! We had the final walk with our builder this morning and most everything was to be completed today. There are a few lingering details but nothing she felt we needed to hold up closing for since it is going to be a couple weeks on some issues. We are thrilled to have this process behind us, as those of you who have built a home before know, it was a lot of hard work!

Will is currently on his way to the house right now with my car loaded up with boxes of my photo albums, etc. that we didn't want the movers touching. We have sound installation and blinds going in tomorrow as well as taking a few more car loads up there. Friday we have internet/phone/TV hook ups and our new bedroom furniture being delivered and then Saturday the movers come. Oh yeah, and Will is going to be painting Drew's new bedroom over the next couple nights too! We love our new home and can't wait for you all to come visit.

I started a blog TWO WEEKS ago but never got to taking my 32 week belly pic, so I never posted...so here is what happened at 32 weeks, but I will have my 34 week appt tomorrow and WILL take a picture to go along!
We had our 32 week doc appt on Thursday. All is good with Camden and me. I am now at my final weight that I was at with Drew, scary to think I have 8 weeks to go because I remember gaining the most weight at the end with Drew. Camden is still head down which is good, except that it is very uncomfortable this time. Her heart rate was 155 and my belly measured 32 cm. She is a very active baby, much more so than Drew. Last night as we were reading Drew bedtime stories she was moving ALL around. Will could see and feel my belly moving a LOT!

Our sweet boy is doing great. His almost "twoness" has been shining through for quite some time now (since about 17 months I would say) and he often lets us know what HE wants and how he does NOT enjoy doing things because we say so! Life has been pretty normal for him until this weekend, I hope he does ok with the move. He is used to going to the "new house" at least once a week, so it shouldn't seem completly strange that we are going to live there. He is excited for our doctor's appt tomorrow because he wants the "doctor look Drew's belly". We'll see if he actually let's my OB check out his tummy tomorrow!

He took a shower with Will for the first time last week and LOVES it now. Everytime Will would get in the shower Drew would tell us "Drew shower" so we finally gave in and threw him in there. They have showered at least 4 times together now.

We took Drew to the Arboretum this past weekend for our annual pumpkin pictures. I figured if I didn't get there opening weekend, it might not happen at all with the move and all the busy weekends we have coming up. No time for editing these days, but here are a couple favorites.

First Sleepover

Drew had his first sleep over a few weeks ago. He slept over Uncle Steve & Auntie Rachael's house so mommy and daddy could go out for the night. We went to the Red Sox/Rangers game with our friends after we dropped Drew off for the night. We had the opportunity to spend some time with our good friends Amy and Andy and we got to watch the game from Andy's companys' suite. It was a fun night except for the fact that the Red Sox got smoked.

Drew did great once they got him down for the night and since then he has not quit talking about the "tractor" aka: uncle Steve's riding lawn mower that he got to ride and the "big pile" of weeds that uncle Steve had him help with in the back yard! When we left he was blowing kisses to us as we drove away and was waving bye bye. I was really thankful that he was not crying!

It was a nice night out for us and a good feeling to know that he will do ok if he ends up spending a night with them when Camden arrives.

Almost Done!

We had our walk through with our builder today and the house is looking great. Most issues were just touch up paint or stain. There were a few other things that need to get done, but they have almost a week to complete and it won't be a problem. As long as our VA appraisal comes back in time we will be closing next Wednesday. We have painting, sound system installation, furniture deliveries and utility companies coming Thursday and Friday before our movers come on Saturday. We are going to be busy, but we can't wait to move in!

New House, 2 weeks and counting...

We are hoping to be moving into our new house in less than 2 weeks. I drove up there today to see what they had gotten done this past week. In the past week we got landscaping, front sprinklers, carpet, faux painting in the 2 baths and kitchen, the metal roof outside, and appliances installed. We do our first walk through on Wednesday to point out all the last details that we think need to be fixed, the following week we will do a final walk through before we close on the house. When I was there today the fence guys were there to dig for the fence posts and there were 2 men staining the cedar on the house...they were about half way done when I was there. It is really feeling like a house now with the floors all done and mostly just touch ups that need to be done to complete the inside. We have a couple issues that I would really like to see resolved ASAP. They incorrectly put the speak easy on our front door, it is square and not a radius like the door. We only have one french door from our study outside, the other is still a temp door...not sure why- and we have a couple outlet/baseboard issues that need to be addressed. Other than that we are feeling good about our new home. We have been packing a little bit every night for the past couple weeks. Luckily we have had plenty of time to prepare, 1 hour of packing a night for this preggers is about all I can handle!

Drew's 3rd plane trip

At the end of August, Drew had his third trip on a plane. We flew back to MA for my cousin Lauren's wedding. He did well on the plane ride there. The ride home was another story! We had a good trip home seeing family and catching up with friends. I was able to hang with my cousins who I don't get to see very much, and my cousin Lauren's wedding was fairy tale perfect. She and the groom look just amazingly happy together.
