2 Months Old!

Our sweet angel is 2 months old today! I can't believe how fast the time is going with her. She weighs 10 lbs and is 21" long. We had her 2 month dr appt yesterday and just as we thought...she is just perfect! We still aren't on much of a schedule yet. I really like being on a schedule and hope to get her to nap when Drew does during the day. Although I do love these beginning days when we don't worry too much about a schedule. She is starting to do a longer stretch at night, she did a 5 1/2 hour stretch last night. We go to bed around 10, get up once during the night to nurse/change diaper and then she has been sleeping till Drew wakes up in the AM around 0730, I feel pretty rested these days. She still likes to nurse every 2-3 hours during the day for the most part. She smiles ALL. THE.TIME! She smiled for the first time the day before Thanksgiving and she hasn't quit! She started making cooing sounds 2 weeks ago, she is the happiest baby! I see a lot of differences in her and Drew at this age already. When she got her shots yesterday, I think she cried for a total of 10 seconds...Drew would have been crying for 10 minutes! She has moved on to a size 1 diaper, and we are trying huggies right now to try to get rid of some diaper rash she has. My pedi says they have less fragrance than Pampers. I have always used Pampers and have preferred them. She is no longer wearing her newborn clothes either, we have moved on to 0-3 months and she even wears the 3-6 month Gerber onesies. She is still loving her soothie paci. We have started to do some tummy time and got out the play mat this week. Drew is still a great big bro, he loves on her all the time and loves to show her his toys. They are really sweet together. I always wondered if I would love the next baby as much as Drew, OH YES...you can definitely love two just as much as you loved the first!

The Kids

Not sure what we were thinking having another baby this close to moving into a new house AND the holidays! things are just nuts around here. trying to take care of two kids, keeping the house clean (somewhat), showering every day (or night), AND trying to get Christmas shopping/wrapping done AND trying to get things hung around the house, WHEW, we are tired.
But life is GOOD, things are GOOD, the kids are GREAT, and we wouldn't change a thing!!! (so here are a few random and of course unedited photos...who has the time to edit anymore???!)

1 Month Old!

I can't believe we have had Camden for a whole month! Time with her already is going by too quickly. On the other hand, I can't imagine our lives without her! She is the sweetest, so soft and snugly and the sweetest little face. Camden sleeps most of the day away, except when she wakes up to eat. Last night she slept in bed with us from 12-5, woke up to eat and then slept in her swing till 7:30, a great night for us! I hope to get her back in the bassinet soon, not really sure why, she seems happy in the swing. I have it pulled up right next to my side of the bed and have pushed the bassinet aside. She is a good eater. Most often she likes to nurse every 2 1/2 hours. Last night she went 5 hours! I woke her for the first 2 weeks to help my milk supply and to ensure she gained her weight back by her 2 week appt. At the appt. the doc told me I didn't need to wake her anymore, music to my ears! We aren't on any kind of feeding/napping schedule. pretty much when ever she wants to eat, I feed her and when ever she wants to sleep, I let her. I have caught her sucking on her hands and thumb once, but mostly she loves her big green soothie paci! I sorta hope she sticks with the paci, it is nice to have something that soothes her so instantly. She has pretty good head control for a month old baby and she loves to look around at different lights. The TV, the bathroom lights, a window when the shutters are open. She does really well in the car. We drove to FTW yesterday to pick up my car and she slept the whole way there and after eating there, she slept the whole way back too. She seems to get a little fussy in the evenings. Not sure if it is gas or the reflux, or just that she is a newbie.
Camden Reese we love you to pieces!
No time for editing just now, but here are some pics from the last month.

um...random

well we think Camden has reflux...=very tired parents. it seems to bother her thru the nights... during the days she is happy and sleeps. last night i really don't know if I slept at all. we started prevacid 2 days ago, and we are praying it works for her soon...otherwise maybe it is just gas and we'll never sleep because mylicon wasn't helping much at all. from talking to a friend who had her baby boy a month before Camden, she said she isn't getting much sleep either, so at least I know I am not alone.
her room is almost done, we got the beadboard done, the painters are here finishing the pink and white paint now and her furniture comes on Wednesday. not that she'll be sleeping in there any time soon, but it will be nice to have it all set up.
I got my new LR3 today, loving it! picture to follow...
having dinner guests tonight, must run.
random post, yes I know.
here are some recent pics...and yes Lauren I will get the house pics up soon...oh yeah I have to take some first! you just wait till baby boy comes in April to see how sleep deprived and scatter brained you will be too!!

Bye Bye Butterflies

Well I guess the true sleep deprivation has hit us. Camden's little butterfly outfit has been thrown away (we assume since we can't find it). The last we remember seeing it was when we were looking at Tahoe's last week (no I am not buying one...I bought a Land Rover LR3 and pick it up next Saturday though!). Camden pooped through the outfit and I changed her in the car. I put her outfit in one of those blue poop bags for dirty diapers and put it on my car floor, either daddy or I threw it out, we can't be sure who because neither of us remember doing it (he thinks it was me, and I think it was him). We met my in-laws for dinner after looking at cars and then headed home... I am so bummed because it was one of her very first outfits and she only got to wear it a couple of times. I got it at gap before she was born, so of course I can't find it anymore. I guess I could check the outlets, but I think they are like a year behind when they get things from the regular stores. So, bye bye butterflies, we're sad to see you go!

p.s. HELLO butterflies! I just found you new on ebay! we should have you soon!!!

I Love Newbies!

Seriously, newborns are just the sweetest. They sleep all the time, they love to snuggle on you and they don't talk back! But...I think we may have another baby with acid reflux, poor girl. Drew has been a great big brother so far and gives her the sweetest kisses. Here are some recent photos: we have done many photo shoots this week at home during big brother's naptime!

Halloween 2008

We had a really fun Halloween this year. Drew was a doctor...I figured there was a good chance he might be visiting me in the hospital on Halloween this year, so him being a doctor seemed fitting. Our neighborhood had a little get together outside before trick or treating. The kids had hot dogs and snacks and then all the dads took the kids trick or treating and us moms (and Camden) stayed on our street to hand out candy in the middle of the street. Will said Drew had a blast trick or treating and walked to the houses eagerly. When he came back to our street he loved seeing people drive by with decorated golf carts. We barely had any trick or treaters come by, our street is pretty quite. We moved on to such a fun street. Everyone is really friendly and there are already lots of get togethers planned for the street. We are really excited to be raising our kids in such a great neighborhood with lots of kids. The first thing Drew asks for when he wakes up in the morning now is "pumpkin treat", his candy went into his pumpkin basket and we have allowed this child WAY too much candy this week!
